Tote Trio Betting
Betting on the Tote Trio involves you selecting the 1st, 2nd and 3rd horses home in any order. The Trio is available on all races with 8 or more declared runners. For many this is the ideal bet in big runner fields when you fancy a few horses. As this is a slightly more challenging bet the Tote payouts are often very high.
Combination Trio
Like the Combination Exacta, with the Trio you can select more than three horses. Therefore, if any combination of your selected horses finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd in any order, you win. Whilst this will increase your chances of winning, please note the more horses you select the more your bet will cost you with the Tote.

Bankers
You can also do a Banker Trio and select 1 or 2 bankers and combine them with a number of others. You collect if your banker finishes in the first 3 and two of your other selections fill the other two places. To win a two banker trio combination your two bankers must finish in the first three along with one of your other selections.

If there is no winner of the Trio pool then the total pool is rolled over to the next race.
